On April 8, 2008, Governor O'Malley signed SB46, repealing the Computer Services Tax.

Hundreds of businesses, believing this tax would cause serious and unintended harm to ALL of Maryland's prized industries, cooperated to seek repeal the computer services tax.

Thanks go to Governor O'Malley, Senate President Miller, House Speaker Busch, courageous champions in the Senate and House who drove the initiative for repeal when it was unpopular, and all the legislators who made hard choices and voted to repeal the computer services tax.  You have saved Maryland's companies, employees and families -- indeed, Maryland's future -- from harm.

Thanks also to all our MCSA members who contributed selflessly of their time, technology and cash.

Finally, to our professional teams:

you are the best!
